Veralto
On September 14, 2022, Danaher announced its intention to separate its Environmental & Applied Solutions segment to create an independent, publicly traded company. The new company will be called Veralto and will be comprised of an outstanding collection of market-leading brands in Danaher's Environmental and Applied Solutions (EAS) segment: Hach, ChemTreat, Trojan, OTT HydroMet , and McCrometer from Danaher's Water Quality Platform and Videojet, Esko, X-Rite Pantone and Linx from the Product Identification Platform. The EAS segment generated revenue of approximately $4.8 billion in 2022 and has a global team of approximately 16,000 associates. About The Role
Reporting to the VP of Tax the Director Tax Accounting will lead a Senior Analyst and Tax Accounting team. This position will be located ONSITE in the Boston, MA area.
Your Responsibilities
Responsible for Worldwide entity accounting for income taxes on a US GAAP basis for interim periods and year-end, provision to return analysis and compliance with the internal control provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley related to income taxes.
Your Experience
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Standardize tax accounting processes with a mindset of global consistency and continuous improvement with the use of tax technology
Work closely with senior tax leadership to ensure appropriate communication and direction is provided for operating units to record the financial impact of various tax planning transactions
Work closely with tax leadership in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential risks, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions and to ensure proper treatment from a tax accounting perspective
Regular communication of tax accounting issues and opportunities to fax and finance leadership
Accurate and timely consolidation of all global operating unit financial information for tax reporting and related disclosures
Accurate and timely coordination of all global operating unit tax forecasts for ETR and cash tax purposes
Assist in the financial and tax evaluation of potential acquisition targets. Lead the integration process for financial reporting of income taxes. Upgrade internal control systems and financial integrity across multiple business units/countries
Your Attributes
The essential requirements of the job include:
BS or BA Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA / Master of Taxation Degree and/or CPA are preferred
10+ years tax accounting and compliance experience in a complex, global enterprise required
Experience in the tax accounting aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, including due diligence and post-merger integration
Must be experienced in US and foreign income tax rules
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Corptax or similar tax accounting technology experience a plus
