Position Summary:

We are looking for an outgoing person with the ability to engage and guide Channel Partners in the respective area of North and South-East Europe. This can only be done if you are able to empathize and accurately sense the reactions of other people to build trust and influence them with a personal touch. All our Partners are valuable for us and we want to build long term relationships based on win-win principals and share the best experience with our products as they can get.

  • Developing and expanding profitable sales through Channel Partners

  • Proactively seeking out opportunities to build new business relationships, specifically in the area of core Medical products. This will be achieved through brand promotion and active selling strategies with the implementation of key skills gained from DBS training.

  • Working closely with the Channel Partners to support internal training on new and existing products as required to ensure a high level of competence and understanding of the relative merits of the products and how these products can be sold in a competitive market.

  • Have a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to build rapport with customers and all other indirect sales channels

  • Carry out agreed sales plans & activities in order to proactively seek out new accounts and business opportunities with focus on Channel Partners and major accounts. Evaluate product sales trends in comparison with competitive products and direct appropriate actions to increase market share.

  • Plan and carry out minimum monthly visits to distributors and existing customers to continually monitor requirements, satisfaction levels, business trends and competitor activity.

  • Ensure customer relationship management (SFDC) system is fully maintained and up to date. Grow Channel Partner business.

  • Acquire and maintain the highest standards of product knowledge. Keep abreast of current trends and acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of competitor’s products.

  • Represent the company at Exhibitions, Trade Association Meetings, Workshops and Seminars with a focus on supporting key business partners and distributors.


  • Bachelors or Master degree (or equivalent in experience).

  • Proven Sales record in the indirect sales market.

  • Ability to drive business success by demonstrating consistent and impressive sales growth over a period of time.

  • Technical ability to demonstrate products.

  • Strong communication skills and sound business acumen.

  • Effective time management and personal organization.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Be “techno-savvy”, not only with our own Product Portfolio and computer literacy but also understand how the Internet and online marketing concepts can help promote the “sale”.


Field-based but required to travel extensively within NEE & SEE Countries, with potential for international travel as required.

EMEA Sales Meetings and where necessary to promote Leica Microsystems at Exhibitions, Trade Meetings, Workshops, and Seminars, etc.

Product and Personal Development Training within Europe (Typically; Wetzlar or Heerbrugg) as necessary.
