The Director, Cybersecurity Architecture, Engineering, & Operations is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise cybersecurity services spanning endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and beyond. The role collaborates closely with technology and security leaders at the enterprise and operating company level, with growth potential that could include leadership roles across Danaher’s diverse enterprise.

This position is part of Corporate Information Technology’s Danaher Information Security (DIS) Department and will is a remote opportunity.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead engineering, continuous enhancement, and operational delivery of services and supporting technologies for areas that include endpoint protection, vulnerability management, attack surface management, and mobile asset protection.

  • Define, implement and maintain engineering standards, quality assurance and technology hardening practices. Align practices across other technical teams.

  • Develop, maintain and deliver against strategic roadmaps that provide for continuous improvement and lifecycle management of cyber solutions; manage and prioritize engineering demand and delivery timelines across team and stakeholder groups.

  • Ensure roles and responsibilities for engineering, operational performance monitoring and support are defined and communicated across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Deliver Operational Excellence by enhancing and maintaining monitoring, operational incident, service management, and performance reporting processes.

  • Coach and mentor technical talent, as well as govern external managed service providers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of technical engineering and solution delivery experience in areas such as software engineering, system administration, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and / or Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) solutions

  • 8+ years leading engineering and operations teams that deliver, maintain, and support technology solutions.

  • Experienced in, and capable of guiding and educating others on, cyber control practices for technology areas such as identity management, access control, Active Directory, firewalls, URL filtering, and endpoint detection and response.

  • Experienced in enterprise technology governance and lifecycle management practices, including core Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) disciplines such as operational incident management, service request management, and change management.

  • Experienced in leading and governing global managed service providers, including team structure, contracting, and talent / performance management.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Deploy, maintain, and lead engineering (e.g., custom Indicators of Attack) of enterprise CrowdStrike deployments (e.g., >50,000 sensors).

  • Identify and recommend appropriate services / technologies to centrally deliver in a global conglomerate business structure; lead initiatives to centralize and drive efficiency in service / technology delivery

  • Define, measure, and consult with MS Azure, Entra, and Microsoft 365 engineering teams on effective security practices, including Microsoft InTune.

The salary range for this role is $168K-$210K . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
