We are looking for a Product Sales Specialist - Lab Chromatography to work with our expert sales team across the world. Do you have a passion for sales? Then we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Accountable to achieve quarterly orders and sales target for the Biacore product range in the assigned territory.

  • Forecast orders and sales quarter over quarter within applicable sales funnel tools. Responsible for driving accuracy with forecasting data.

  • Create quarterly territory business plans for territory/assigned accounts including, but not limited to opportunity generation and development, competitive strategies and targets.

  • Build strong business relationships and formulate account strategies to continuously strengthen relationships within the assigned accounts/ territory.

  • Identify & respond to key account technical and departmental decision makers’ needs.

  • Continuously develop a network of key decision makers within the assigned territory.

  • Track and communicate market trends to/from the field including competitor data, to understand and leverage a sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of their product, market and industry. Be able to present and discuss SPR technology, applications and benefits in terms which are relevant to customers.

  • Familiar with a variety of virtual technologies for customer trainings and presentations.

  • Maintain up to date market and competitor knowledge related to their product/solutions/services.

  • Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities working with Account Managers, Field Application Scientists and other Sales Specialists to obtain maximum synergy across the business.

  • Continuously update their understanding of customer’s changing operational issues and challenges.

  • Facilitate successful product demonstrations, internal and external training, seminars, workshops and promotional activities.

  • Differentiate assigned product offering during the various stages of the sales process, effectively using Cytiva resources and approved product marketing and product promotion material to actively support the customer through their decision-making process towards a successful outcome for Cytiva.

  • Contribute to account plans where applicable at accounts covered by account managers.

  • Continuously educate and coach account team members on their product strategy and offerings.

  • Collaborate with and leverage subject matter experts and other resources within the Cytiva channels to build relationships and secure business.

Who you are:

  • BS degree in Life Sciences field; MS degree preferred.

  • Hands on experience selling or laboratory work involving molecular interactions, biophysical and bioanalytical techniques.

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful commercial experience performance with a proven consistent record of exceeding plan: Including but not limited to sales, marketing, technical support, field applications support.

  • Strong understanding of current strategies, challenges and dynamics impacting Drug Discovery and Development markets.

  • Practical experience in organizing and executing technical seminars and product demonstrations.

  • Demonstrated success with a robust digital presence (LinkedIn and Sales Navigator).

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, digital/remote presence tools, business/finance applications, and CRM-SalesForce.com.

  • Proven effective sales record in previous positions.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, plus experience using these skills to participate in cross-functional teams.

  • Written and verbal English fluency.

  • Must live within and be able to travel extensively within the Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia area
