Danaher Corporation Senior Human Resource Manager in Washington DC, District Of Columbia

The Sr. Human Resources Manager for Danaher Corporate will design, implement, and support talent strategies and programs for several global functional client group(s) of significant complexity. This position supports these client groups for Corporate “as an Operating Company” and also supports and leads talent initiatives for these functions enterprise-wide. The focus of this role is enhancing leadership effectiveness and the active acquisition of talent, performance management, development, and succession planning. In doing so, you will lead and oversee strategic client and/or company projects (which may span globally and enterprise wide) and drive execution and implementation of these strategies.

The Sr. HR Manager will optimize relationships of associates, managers and functional leadership, link human resources strategies to business objectives, and counsel and advise management on a variety of topics related to talent including design and implementation of training, performance management, and organizational design programs to ensure compliance with all labor laws.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Consult with leaders on talent and organizational design challenges

  • Anticipate challenges and recommend innovative organizational solutions for complex problems, some limited to corporate and others enterprise-wide

  • Support the Organizational Talent Assessment at Danaher Corporate and Global Functional Talent Review processes for assigned client groups including leading talent review sessions deeper into client organizations

  • Support Functional Talent Review sessions and ensure goal setting, countermeasures, and staffing actions are deployed and managed for Senior Leadership Functional Talent across Danaher in collaboration with the Talent Management organization

  • Deliver change management consultation to clients

  • Partner with client group and Talent Acquisition to acquire diverse and skilled talent for assigned client groups and effectively immerse new talent into the business

  • Provide consultation on engagement & retention of associates

  • Assist leaders and teams with defining and developing engagement action planning

  • Drive successful execution of the performance management process within assigned client groups at Danaher Corporate including: leading performance calibration sessions; coaching leaders on tough conversations; creating performance improvement plans and development plans

  • Drive and manage workforce planning and headcount management to align strategies with business priorities

  • Collaborate with clients on internal movement decisions; transfers, promotions, job enhancements and ensure decisions are aligned with talent and skill gaps, development plans and career pathing while ensuring movement aligns with company leveling guides and policy

  • Report assigned KPIs and utilize PSP or other DBS tools as needed to identify and implement root cause countermeasures when not hitting targets

  • Support clients and VP HR on confidential projects

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field with 6+ years of HR Experience or Master’s with 4+ years of Human Resources Experience, including minimum 3 years as an HR Business Partner

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional, global initiatives, processes, or projects and navigating dispersed stakeholder groups with disparate interests

  • Experience consulting, coaching, and influencing L1 leaders

  • Sophisticated and demonstrated skills in mediating, negotiating, coaching, business acumen, and project management

  • Strong prioritization and social contracting skills; a significant portion of the client group is comprised of senior leaders

  • Experience leading or contributing to medium to large scale re-orgs, org alignment, or workforce planning efforts

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience participating in OPCO strategic planning process

  • Experience partnering closely with senior clients through Danaher’s OTA I and OTA II processes
