Pall Corporation, the global leader in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemicals, and Automotive fluids management is recruiting for our next Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Product Management. Pall Corporation has a growing >$500M Fluid Technologies and Asset Protection (FTAP) filtration business that sells over 45,000 SKUs into industrial applications. The VP is a member of the FTAP leadership team and is critical for Pall’s FTAP business to achieve its strategic global objectives, develop and drive its marketing organization in direct support for our Policy Deployment and Key Performance Indicators.

This role can be remote based.

Your role:

Lead all aspects of the marketing and planning process to design, develop, and implement short and long-term marketing strategies for new and existing product lines in order to drive market share growth and improve business revenue and profitability. This individual will lead the implementation of all marketing related plans and activities including marketing research, product and technology roadmaps and launches, demand generation, and marketing budgeting and forecasting.

Your team will consist of 15 – 20 portfolio managers, regional marketing teams, and strategic marketers globally. In addition, leading annual strategy development involves indirect leadership of a cross-functional group of over 30 leaders across the organization in a robust planning process. Our new leader is dynamic, commercially focused and has go-to-market strategy experience for a products based company.

Essential job functions:

Global Marketing

  • Champion strategic planning under Pall Industrial annual process, leveraging VOC capture, ideation, and synthesis to create long-term sustainable differentiation and winning position

  • Develop deep understanding of customer needs through voice of customer and champion for all levels of the organization. Create competitive positioning, creative, and global campaign strategies for all markets

  • Drive marketing strategies and programs for regional customization and execution to maximize lead generation and lead to opportunity conversion to meet regional targets. Provide leadership for the overall brand hierarchy, guiding the corporate brand to increase internal and external awareness of Pall FTA

Portfolio Management

  • Lead the creation, improvement and implementation of product life cycle management best practices to support commercial partners in delivering superior growth, profitability, and market share gains.

  • Partner with R&D and commercial to source, propose, develop, and launch new solutions from ideation to development and launch excellence

  • Own the product and technology road mapping for FTAP, working closely with R&D, Commercial, Business Development, and Ops

  • Collaborate with operations to improve and maintain on-time-delivery through tactical support and strategic footprint assessments and implementations

Demand Generation

  • Lead an effective digital marketing strategy to increase traffic, lead generation, and orders through traditional and e-commerce channels, (SEO)

  • Launch and monitor campaigns to build profitable market share and sustainable competitive advantage; creating value for new and existing customers

  • Manage approximately $1M annual budget to drive advantaged return on advertising spend, balancing traditional and digital marketing techniques

Leadership, Talent Management, and Process Improvement

  • Craft performance organization through a disciplined approach to management, measurement and improving results in a continuous improvement culture

  • Acquire, maintain, and develop top talent to support a high performing team

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members and pipeline associates through Danaher organization for career growth

  • Develop and continuously improve processes within commercial support, product lifecycle management, and NPD, including all relevant tools from the Danaher Business System, (DBS) Growth and Leadership domains.

  • Ensure the use of the Danaher Toolbox to ensure all projects are optimized and reviewed for continuous improvement opportunities.

Knowledge & Key Skills:

  • Solid marketing/brand strategy and management experience from a leading-edge organization known for excellence in that function

  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing Voice of the Customer (VOC) to determine product roadmaps and identify growth areas for the company

  • Deep experience in digital marketing as integral part of “go to market” strategy

  • Proven track record of synthesizing large amounts of information, navigating ambiguity, and driving to strategic and tactical insights

  • Demonstrated success developing marketing strategies that cover the full marketing mix including product development, commercialization, market research, pricing, promotion, and development of collateral materials

  • Successful track record of managing, leading, and developing people; able to enhance the competency and skill base of our marketing associates.

  • Acting with a sense of urgency and taking ownership and accountability

Preferred Qualifications/Education:

B.S. in Technical Subject area. MBA in Marketing or related concentration

Essential Previous Experience:

12+ years of Marketing experience for a multinational industrial employer. 10 years customer/supplier interfacing. 5+ years leading projects in a multi geographic environment
