What you’ll do

Production Planning

  • Determine and set daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules within value streams.

  • Examine customer orders, available staff and inventory, as well as machinery capabilities to effectively set and manage multiple production line schedules.

  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)

  • Generate daily/weekly production reports

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully and maintains confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated exemplary verbal/written communication skills with both internal and external clients

  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

    Job Closure

  • Audit WIP job closure to ensure timely and accurate WIP job closure.

  • Audit WIP job raw material consumption to ensure the timely and accurate consumption of the raw material.

  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure inventory is available to consume into WIP jobs.

    Job Variances

  • Generate WIP job variance reports to find job variances.

  • Drive problem solve WIP job variances for raw materials, consumable resources and labor.

  • Implement long term counter measures to prevent future variance.

  • Implement standard works to sustain the long-term counter measures.

  • Work with product engineering to correct labor variance.

  • Work with finance to correct cost variances.


  • Report aging inventory in RIP.

  • Drive problem solving for aging RIP inventory.

  • Implement long term counter measures to prevent future aging RIP inventory.

  • Implement standard works to sustain long-term counter measures for aging RIP inventory.

  • Create, implement, and train to standard work and industry best practices.

  • Identify and correct gaps in standard work.

  • Track, trend, and problem solve KPI’s to ensure sustainment of standard work and best practices.

    Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field OR High school diploma with 4 years manufacturing experience required

  • Working knowledge of Oracle preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

  • APICS Certification preferred
