The Advanced Technician Production Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible as the team lead in the Filling Manufacturing department leading a team of 6 associates: assign daily work; proactively identify opportunities for improvement; mentor and coach others; onboard and train new associates

This position is part of the Microbiology Operating Company located in West Sacramento, CA and will be onsite. As one of the world’s leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time.

You will be a part of the Lead Manufacturing team and report to the Production Manager responsible for l eading a team and help coordinate filling departments daily activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead a team of 6 associates: assign daily work; proactively identify opportunities for improvement; mentor and coach others; onboard and train new associates

  • Lead team and help coordinate filling departments daily activities

  • Follow precise instructions to fill diagnostic panels material using automated machines and pipets, etc.

  • Ensure associates accurately complete required documentation (batch records, log sheets, paperwork, etc.)

  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the filling department, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure that daily 5s activities are completed.

  • Monitor and maintain minimum Training Requirements in Master Control, Knowledge Connection, and Danaher Connect.

  • Facilitate cross training of associates to ensure team can be flexible to meet demand.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience

  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in leading a manufacturing team

  • Experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a medical diagnostic device environment
