We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor, Bioprocessing Manufacturing to work with our experienced facilities team across the world. Do you have a passion for facilities management? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
The Facilities Supervisor will lead a team of skilled technicians responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems critical to the manufacturing and building operations of a multi-shift manufacturing site. The Facilities Supervisor is an experienced maintenance professional and leader possessing the knowledge, skills, and ability to troubleshoot and repair sophisticated manufacturing and utility equipment issues with minimal guidance or supervision. This position will be expected to mentor and train technicians and as such should be a shown leader with outstanding communication and people skills. This role is expected to champion safety and quality on the shop floor and as such is expected to lead by example. This is a working role.
Responsible for all facilities operations and maintenance services for the assigned facility.
Assists with the development of departmental budgets and staffing forecasts.
Develops SOPs, PM Tasks, and other job specific documentation.
Ensures that all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with the Facilities Department’s Asset Management Strategy.
Supervises and assigns all work activities scheduled for the maintenance team by the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. Participates in planning and scheduling meetings.
Responsible for developing the training curriculum for maintenance technicians. Ensures all assigned training is completed on time.
Responsible for employee training and development as well as performance reviews.
Assists with the planning, scheduling and execution of site capital projects.
Facilities SME for all investigations, deviations and CAPA's assigned to Facilities.
Manages service contractors utilized for maintenance services, calibrations as well as facility, utility and equipment improvement projects.
Maintains the emergency on-call rotation for the facility.
Tracks, trends, and reviews defined Facilities KPI’s. Participates in multi-site performance review meetings with other Facilities Supervisors, Reliability Leaders and Facility Management.
Mentor and train technicians and new hires on maintenance procedures, equipment operation and repairs.
Support the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in the identification and procurement of parts required for maintenance.
Champion Safety as a leader within the facilities department.
Champion Quality as a leader within the facilities department.
Who you are
High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician or skilled trade within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in a regulated environment such as medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a maintenance team within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Possess at least one professional license or certification. Preferably in one of the following areas; Electrician, HVAC-R, Wastewater Operator, Plumber/Pipefitter, Automation/Controls, Machining, Welding.
Knowledge and understanding of Reliability and Asset Management programs.
Experience working with a CMMS, preferably Infor EAM.
Experience operating, monitoring, or maintaining a Building Management System for a controlled environment.
Expert level knowledge in two of the following areas; electrical, automation/controls, calibrations, plumbing/pipefitting, wastewater operations, HVAC-R, boilers/steam systems, RODI/WFI systems, autoclaves, Building Management Systems, Pumps, machining, welding.
Experience with OSHA standards specific to LOTO, Confined Space, working at height, Machine guarding and Hazardous Waste.
Ability to effectively empower and lead a team of skilled technicians.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong emotional intelligence and mentoring skills in addition to having the successful ability to interpret and communicate sophisticated technical data.
Strong technical ability and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in utility areas, warehouses, and manufacturing environments.
Ability to gown and work in cleanroom environments
Ability and willingness to be part of an on-call rotation and work off hours as needed to support manufacturing operations.
Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently with peers at various levels of the organization.
Experience working with clean utilities is preferable.
Experience working within a Quality Management System is preferable.
Possesses the mentality of a Safety and Quality Champion.
