What you’ll do

  • Within the GSC Operational Excellence team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of a reliable wing to wing supply chain, including capability & capacity planning, transfer of work and localization, integration, simplification, and productivity projects.

  • This role supports the Strategy leader and Product P&L leadership teams on matters of product cost, product quality, fulfillment, sourcing / manufacturing / logistic strategy, supply chain and business operating performance.

  • Supported by a solid business case, you will assess resource requirements, supply chain risks, and operational capabilities required, including supplier capability, to develop a robust Supply Chain.

  • He/she will be intensively engaged in product and operation development projects, to execute the GSC strategy in region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Early engage with Product Management, Finance, Quality Assurance(QA), R&D, site manufacturing engineering and supplier capability engineering (SQE) to enable successful technical transfers into manufacturing and/or suppliers.

  • Ensure proper baseline data is collected and adequate & reliable continuous improvement measurement are in place

  • Effectively assess and evaluate site/supplier capabilities used in the supplier/site selection process and the capacity/ productivity roadmap. i.e. initial capacity assessment (ICAS), CLT, vs PLT analysis, SPC analysis, Sourcing risks finder.

  • Seek early understanding of Standard Product Cost, EHS risks, Regulatory Risks, and training needs.

  • Lead accurate and timely completion of documents required for each Milestone Review. This includes Transfer of Work, Supply Chain Strategy, Design Transfer Plan, Supply Chain Readiness Report, Validation Plan.

  • Highlight Supply Chain Risks related to Safety, Cost, Lead Time, Business Continuity and Regulatory Compliance to Project Management and Leadership Team.

  • Ensure the development of new processes and lean manufacturing implementation, to support both short- and long-term business plans with productivity, capacity and quality improvements.

  • Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing to drive quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality. Assure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers/site in compliance with the CAPA process.

  • Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.

  • Collect & Provide GSC design input to the Product Design team to achieve the overall P&L objectives.

  • Measure Strategic Project impact on customer through regular Say/do & lessons learnt sharing sessions.

  • Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global Sourcing Leaders and Modality Sourcing Leaders to evaluate, plan and implement supplier/engineering changes.

  • Lead a cross-functional Program, including Sourcing, Manufacturing, Product Quality, Materials, to achieve targets of Operation deployment in Region.

  • Leverage the Operations Excellence functional teams (Advanced Manufacturing, Lean, 6 sigma, System & Process) to prioritize & optimize CAPEX & resource allocation

Who you are

  • Master's degree in engineering and minimum 8 years' experience with proven leadership in manufacturing or supply chain role.

  • Significant experience in product and/or process development Strong problem-solving abilities using analytical and logical thinking skills

  • Previous experience in leading projects including managing scope, budget, quality.

  • Understanding of QA-QC and testing procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Lean tools and Lean thinking.

  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 30% of the time

  • Strong communication Skills, written and verbal

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment

  • Change agent with energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, teamwork & networking skills

  • Six Sigma trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor. Strong communication Skills, written and verbal

  • Computer proficiency
