Design, develop, and implement metrology and equipment solutions to enable testing and validation of novel sensor applications.
Prepare budgetary estimates and project timelines for test and diagnostic equipment as well as specifications and standard operating procedures.
Project management from initial concept to process validation
Test, troubleshoot, upgrade and automate existing test and diagnostic equipment.
Relevant engineering degree and competency with equipment design, metrology, automation, and programming is required.
Knowledge and experience with sensor technology and instrumentation is required.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop metrology and equipment design solutions to enable testing and development of novel sensing applications.
Provide software and hardware upgrades to automate and improve current sensor testing capabilities
Manage development projects including timelines and budget.
Document, solve, and conduct training on metrology and equipment designs
Work effectively with multi-functional project teams to meet project timelines.
Research future sensor development with project teams and map future opportunities
PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or comparable discipline with relevant skills developed 5+ years’ experience
Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or comparable discipline with relevant skills developed 10+ years’
Equipment design, automation, and systems integration
Data acquisition and display
Experience with mechanical and electrical system componentry
Knowledge and experience with sensor technology and instrumentation.
Modeling and mathematical techniques for processing signals and recognizing patterns
