Danaher Corporation Senior Business Systems Developer / Analyst in Westborough, Massachusetts

Purpose of of role:

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Developer / Analyst to become a part of the CTO PMO team. You will be building new systems and implementing new processes to accomplish a bold new product growth transformation.

The right candidate will have a proven track record implementing change using technology and processes. You should be able to point to specific projects and activities that demonstrate his or her commitment to redefining the way people work.

In particular, candidates should describe in detail their specific roles on projects that affected data management processes, analytic capabilities, content management, and/or reporting with a specific emphasis on what changes stakeholders experienced as a result of these projects.

Crucial Job Requirements:

Business Application Support (50%):

  • Resolve operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

  • Design and run new information technology solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.

  • Develop and lead business and functional requirements and corresponding work products for highly complex projects to ensure stakeholders’ understanding.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and perform functions for urgent, high visibility, high profile, and strategic projects to ensure accuracy and completeness while meeting ambitious deadlines.

  • Coordinate and execute functional and systems tests to ensure systems work as intended.

  • Administer and support PPM and supporting applications by maintaining configurations, permissions, data relationships, workflows, scripts, and other application settings as of when.

  • Provisioning of new user profiles in PPM

Process and Analytical Development (50%):

  • Develop, modify and execute process models as necessary using enterprise Accolade Project and Portfolio Management Application.

  • Provide project management for the implementation of new software releases and business processes (small and large size projects).

  • Document and communicate objectives, plans, status, issues and risks in a timely manner to team members, partners and senior management.

  • Develop document templates using MS-Office products, VB for applications, with connectivity to T-SQL databases

Experience & Qualifications:

High degree of computer proficiency – especially Microsoft office products and databases.

Extensive knowledge of business processes and project management. The ability to handle multiple projects and work streams independently, proactively, and collaboratively is required.

Must have Project Management experience for small/medium business application efforts.

Able to write SQL queries, functions and procedures, as well as analyze data.

Preferably have domain knowledge of PPM, Stage / Gate and agile methodologies.

Position Competencies:

  • Must be highly proficient writing Advanced SQL, T-SQL a plus.

  • VB for Applications.

  • An assessment will be conducted at time of interview for both SQL and VBA

  • SAP or Enterprise ERP experience would be beneficial

  • Ability to establish strong working relationships

  • Familiar with project management disciplines

  • Superb communication skills

  • Accolade PPM experience a huge plus.
