What you’ll do
The Senior Trainer, Manufacturing Operations is designed to provide leadership in training and development for the Westborough & Shrewsbury teams with a focus on activities at local manufacturing site with additional opportunities to drive global improvements. A great opportunity for an experience facilitator with practical operations skills, and a passion for developing front-line leaders in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
Responsible for timely delivery of skill based, technical and development training experiences to support the current and long-term needs of the organization.
Identify gaps in training/expectations of associates and leaders and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement training and development opportunities.
Form relationships with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts, and the wider organization to execute needs and strategy of the business.
Identify, create and facilitate material for class and/or eLearning for various levels of the organization.
Support front line leaders in operations maximizing the development of all Operations teams.
Plan and coordinate all aspects of classroom and/or eLearning programs or modules.
Arrange on-the-job learning activities to promote deeper learning of concepts.
Coach and mentor through 1 on 1 development sessions.
Develop and conduct course assessments.
Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm leading multi-module programs over extended periods of time.
Quickly and accurately assess, coach and develop individuals throughout the learning process to ensure understanding.
World class facilitation and curriculum delivery.
Develop culture of process discipline around lean tools and concepts and adhere to cGMP guidelines.
Share knowledge and experience of lean tools including, Daily Visual Management, Hoshin Kanri, Standard Work, Problem Solving, Waste Elimination, Efficiency Improvement and Servant Leadership.
Conduct evaluations and monitor success of participants and overall program.
Learn and utilize the learning management system (LMS)
Lead and support projects related to learning & development through a variety of methods to increase participant effectiveness.
Support weekend and off-shift trainings as needed.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a related field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of related experience)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading people, coaching, learning and development, and/or facilitation.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing, DBS or Toyota Production System with experience working / leading in Lean manufacturing environments
Experience creating and deploying training and leadership development programs or certification as a trainer/coach preferred
Formal training on train-the-trainer courses preferred
Articulate, confident, and experienced in facilitation with the ability to communicate within business-minded and strategic operations understanding.
Able to work in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholders, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Exceptional influencing skills – excellent interpersonal and engagement skills
Ability to identify new and creative solutions to business challenges.
High Standard of communication, both verbal and written.
