The role of the Channel Marketing Manager EMEA (m/f/d) at Leica Microsystems is to develop and deploy marketing growth plans for/with Channel partners in line with key strategic initiatives to generate profitable growth in the Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) region.
He/she owns the development and execution of EMEA Marketing plans for Channel Partners and Resellers to build a pipeline of sales opportunities. He/She works with the Regional and Global marketing teams, as well as EMEA Channel Partner managers. Building relationships with Channel Partners, driving campaign adoption and supporting Partner marketing effectiveness in EMEA are essential in this role.
This is a key role with high expectations for this fast-growing strategic business channel. It reports to the Director of Marketing and Strategy EMEA.
Develop integrated EMEA marketing campaigns based on the customer journey to increase market visibility, acquire new customers and generate sales opportunities
Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans to support key EMEA Channel Partners
Design and execute omnichannel commercial programs (emailings, social media, paid search etc.)
Plan and execute New Product launches incl. commercial readiness, availability of on-line and off-line marketing collaterals, training programs etc.
Monitor the performance of Marketing programs (ROI) and adjust accordingly
Pilot new ideas, analyze results and constantly adjust to ensure goals are achieved
Participate to the expansion and effectiveness of our EMEA channel partner network
Analyze current CP infrastructure setup (salesforce.com CRM; marketing automation tool; lead qualification; tracking of ROI; digital presence etc.), identify potential for improvement and optimize
Act as a focal point and conduit to disseminate information such as Product launches, product discontinuation, promotions etc. to our distribution network
Provide marketing support to the EMEA Sales organization including promotional requests, presentations for/to CP, various communications etc.
Define and execute pricing strategy
Contribute to regional competitive intelligence activities (regional product offerings, pricing, promotions, etc.)
At least 5-6 years of international marketing experience in direct and channel marketing in a B2B environment
A total of 7-10 years of international marketing experience ideally with a major life science or scientific instrumentation manufacturer/provider
Business/Marketing degree (Bachelor/Master) or Material Sciences / Life sciences degree (Bachelor/Master) with additional Business or Marketing qualifications
Understanding of EMEA Distributors’ business model
At ease with scientific instrumentation applications/markets
Demonstrated experience developing integrated EMEA Channel campaigns with measurable results including the execution of content marketing, digital marketing and lead nurturing campaigns that deliver quality leads to sales
Ability to analyze business trends and financial metrics incl. P&L
Strong computer skills (Excel, Salesforce, SAP, Marketing Automation tools e.g. Pardot)
Agility in a fast-paced, changing environment and hands-on
Fluency in English plus Fluency in a further European language
20% travel time
Preferred location is Paris area (Nanterre) or Frankfurt area (Wetzlar, Mannheim). Locations near a major European airport (e.g. London, Madrid, Rome) can be considered
