Danaher Corporation Product Merchandiser - Product Information Management (PIM) - Remote in Wilmington, Delaware
The Product Merchandiser reports to the Global Product Information Manager /DAM Manager and will be responsible for the population and maintenance of product data for websites, trading partner communications and other product syndication needs. He/she will work directly in STIBO STEP, Danaher’s Water Quality Platform Level Product Information Management (PIM) System, and coordinate content to merchandise products for the best websites. The Product Merchandiser will lead or support projects to drive growth of the web platform. The role will work closely with digital strategists, product managers/marketers, and content management teams to create and enrich product information, and ensure projects are on track.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand products from stakeholders and transfer that knowledge to the PIM system while adhering to PIM governance standards and Operating Company brand guidelines
Apply data management and business knowledge to actively partner with product management and marketing teams to help define PIM data processes, including challenging the organization to think in new ways about how they manage and syndicate product information, translations and assets
Work with product management to periodically optimize older descriptions for evergreen products
Recognize and act on inaccuracies and inconsistencies in data
Drive standardization of processes and content across Operating Companies
Learn Danaher Water Quality Platform Operating Companies’ data structures and system set-up and educate others when needed
Support content collection from various Operating Companies for implementation to Product information Management System
Establish, measure and report key performance indicators and metrics for product data quality among Operating Companies
Balance short-term project goals with long-term strategic objectives
Degree in science, business, marketing/merchandising, or 3+ years equivalent, related work experience
Knowledge of organic search best practices
Experience in ecommerce merchandising
Experience with MDM / PIM (STIBO STEP a plus)
Expertise in the field of water quality analyses and appropriate products (chemicals, laboratory instruments, online analyzers etc.) a plus
Familiar with handling product information in multiple languages
Project management skills
Ability to clarify the needs and priorities of customers to meet expectations and deliver successfully
Occasional travel may be necessary (up to 10%)
The salary range for this role is 5 8-70K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
