We are on the lookout for an experienced Human Resources Director to join us! You'll be responsible for the strategic leadership of all aspects of HR management and serve as an inspiring leader in advancing global organizational capabilities and efficiency. You’ll provide direction and lead organization and talent development efforts to meet strategic and annual objectives. This includes the coordination and implementation of processes, policies and programs, as well as organization development, talent development, associate engagement, immersion/on-boarding, organizational planning, retention, management training, compensation and well-being.
As a member of the IDBS leadership team you will serve as senior adviser, counsel, and confidante to the IDBS General Manager, as well as an adviser to other management team members on all thing’s human resources. We are a nested OpCo within Molecular Devices, and the position will function as part of a global HR team across both operating companies and operates as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team for Molecular Devices/IDBS.
What we’ll get you doing:
Strategic HR Planning: Utilizing data and key insights, support development and execution of the HR Strategy that supports the company's growth and operational goals, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, with an eye on diversity.
Engagement and Retention: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by managing employee relations, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts. Implement policies and procedures to promote employee engagement and connection between their work and the overarching objectives.
Improving Leadership Effectiveness and Performance: Enhance the skills, abilities, and behaviors of leaders within an organization. Improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
Enhancing Organization and Culture: Identify and implement initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, improving the structure, systems, and environment within a company to create a more efficient, effective, and positive workplace.
Here is what success in this role looks like:
Educated to degree level or CIPD qualified.
10+ years experience leading in human resources and/or business partnerships. Previous people leadership experience required.
Ability to synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward-thinking and innovative. Strong intuition for business and ability to apply human capital implications.
Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity.
Solid team skills, the ability to build relationships, and be able to work efficiently and effectively with associates at all levels of the organization. Strong understanding/ application of organizational change and process excellence principles.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience working across a global HR and client organization and influencing across, upward and downward.
Solid understanding of local employment law and experience in investigations, compensation, and employee relations practices in the United Kingdom.
