The position will ideally be based at Videojet’s global headquarters in Wood Dale, Illinois. However, it can be remote, if you are willing to travel and be in Wood Dale at least one week/month (besides other travels).
WITHIN THE ROLE
The Director, Diversity + Inclusion will bring thought leadership, a voice, vision, integrity, and people first philosophy to advance the diversity and inclusion efforts at Videojet. This position will be responsible for aligning and executing a cohesive approach that integrates new and existing corporate initiatives, policies, programs, systems and procedures that cultivate an environment where all can thrive.
A significant part of this role will be in assisting and promoting the development of training programs that improve associate understanding on inclusion issues. The Director D+I will have the breadth and depth of experiences and significant accomplishments to further advance D+I engagement across the organization, which include establishing methods for tracking progress, monitoring the success of programs as well as other actions that promote diversity throughout the company. Serve as advisor, counsel, and confidant to the leadership team.
WITHIN THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the strategic development and execution of the overall D&I vision for Videojet in close partnership with the President, HR Leadership Team, Danaher D+I office and other key partners; aligning with key business and talent imperatives
Drive strategy through tangible actions; plans, build, sustain, and project momentum throughout the organization
Collaborate with and advise Senior Leaders to align functional business strategies with D&I Programming
Optimally communicate measurable outcomes of new and ongoing efforts, sharing Videojet’s progress related to our D&I ambition and inclusive culture
Support integration of D&I into key HR processes through consultation and partnership, including talent management, leadership development and people development
Lead key projects, reviews and initiatives to deliver change and improvements. Review and benchmark the internal and external environment, translating good practice into proposals that are aligned to HR and business goals
Ensure alignment with Videojet policies, practices and external regulatory expectations
Collaborate to ensure strong D&I focus within Corporate Social Responsibility, Supplier Diversity, and other marketplace-specific areas of opportunity
Partner with Danaher D+I office to share standard methodologies, support the Danaher Diversity vision and ensure all Danaher programs are appropriately cascaded throughout Videojet
Lead to develop and deploy effective internal and external communications and branding to influence participation and perceptions of Videojet as an employer of choice, committed to the attraction, retention and development of all
Partner with the platform and Danaher Talent Acquisition teams to help develop strategies and processes to help attract and recruit top talent
External Community: Establish robust external partnerships through participation on councils, conferences, task forces and professional affiliations as required to strengthen D&I solutions, perceptions and impact with Videojet and to external audiences
Using data analytics for root cause analysis, find opportunities for improvement and build solutions such as decisions on programming, people and leader interventions, talent development, training and learning opportunities, etc.
WITHIN THE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years combined HR and D+I experience with 2-3 years leading related D+I initiatives and programs in a corporate environment with proven understanding of culture integration including shared governance and respect for diverse views and opinions
Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and understand the implications their actions and the HR function will have on the organizational demands of an evolving company
Has facilitated organizational change activities for organization to understand and ensure adoption of processes and behaviors
Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
Ability to balance organizational change needs with organization readiness to ensure D&I strategy is both achievable and successful while stretching the organization to advance our D&I journey
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25% of the time (up to 50% if remote)
