WITHIN YOUR ROLE

As the Finance Director – Global Operations you will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic partnership with the Global Operations team. The position is further responsible for providing financial leadership, guidance and assistance to various plant leaders and plant controllers. This includes conducting financial and business analysis to identify potential problems and recommend solutions, preparing/supporting the development of annual strategic plans and financial budgets for operations, as well as driving working capital and productivity improvements.

Based in Wood Dale, IL, you will report to the Global Controller, and dotted line to the Vice President of Global Operations. The global Plant Controllers will have a dotted line reporting to this position.

Your tasks will include (but not be limited to):

  • Partner with Vice President Global Operations and teams to drive productivity initiatives, such as PPV/VAE, product line changes and working capital improvement;

  • Lead, engage and bring together the various plant leaders and controllers across the globe, providing support, escalation, helping with prioritization and harmonization of standard work, advancing Videojet’s Diversity and Inclusion mission;

  • Coordinate with the accounting team to support submission of accurate financial statements that are compliant with US GAAP and DHR accounting practices;

  • Own reporting and forecasting of all Operations cost drivers, actively monitoring trends, deviation and supporting the operations team in implementing countermeasures;

  • Actively monitor processes and transactions for compliance with Videojet internal controls and Danaher Corporate Accounting Manual and compliance standards.

You would be able to have an impact by:

  • Developing and maintaining forecasting processes that accurately predict future performance and motivates actions to ensure it hits agreed upon target;

  • Managing the cost accounting process integrated in the financial system, the standard cost updating cycles, variances and absorption analysis;

  • Driving operational business improvement initiatives on gross margin , as well as the use of Lean Management Tools and continuous improvement within the Finance organization - challenging existing processes, systems, reports, data analysis and outputs and implements necessary changes to create a best in class control environment;

  • Analyzing cost variances and impact of exchange rates (e.g. supply chain Fx);

  • Managing global Capex budget and Forecasting.

WITHIN YOUR EDUCATION, BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

  • 15+ years of increasing responsibility in various accounting and finance roles.

  • Must have supported operations, ideally also assisted supply chain or logistics departments.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting or other relevant area.

  • CPA/MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience with Oracle and HFM preferred.

  • Experience in global environment is required.
