Responsibilities:

• As Director, Software Reliability Engineering , you will play a critical role in establishing and executing a software reliability/quality strategy for Videojet Products and Services

• You will partner with and influence our global software development engineering teams in complex embedded software used to run high-speed industrial coding and marking products for our customers

• As a servant leader, you will be responsible for identifying on-market issues, software reliability improvement opportunities and influencing change within the organization

• You will have demonstrated the ability to develop, communicate and execute your vision resulting in the adoption of practices and tooling that will help strengthen our position as a global leader in coding, marking and printing systems solutions.

• Be a thought leader and mentor in Software reliability engineering

• Develop and enable a culture of reliability / quality in our software development, delivery and operational practices

• Anticipates, identifies, and resolves internal and external customer quality issues through understanding of processes, product performance and customer applications

• Establish a comprehensive site reliability/quality engineering strategy and roadmap in partnership with the global software R&D teams

• Help software engineering teams and business stakeholders establish and evolve reliability goals and measure progress against those goals

• Create and enforce software reliability standards and work with software development engineering teams to adopt those standards and to continuously improve production stability and resilience

• Establish and lead a software reliability community of practice and foster a culture of continuous improvement of system site and application performance and reliability

Qualification:

• You will need a strong software engineering background in a global environment and have software engineering expertise

• You will need extensive technical knowledge in the development, delivery, and implementation of complex software systems

• Expertise in the value and principles of Software Reliability Engineering is critical for success in this role

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field

• Minimum ten years of experience managing large-scale digital software systems
