* Purpose of the Position -* * * ** * Primary role: develop and deliver product training (technical and sales) to customers, distributors, and internal employees.
Key Responsibilities* * * Acquire and maintain technical expertise on a minimum of 3 product families employing different coding and marking technologies and become certified on 2 technologies within 5 months and a third within 7 months. * Present extended technical training programs at Videojet facilities and/or at designated customer sites to audiences of up to 15 customer students, distributors, and/or internal employees in support of new and current products. * Develop and deliver technical and sales training curriculum in a computer-based and/or classroom environment during new product development efforts * Support international training initiatives as required. * Apply DBS (lean) processes to improve the quality, delivery, and cost of training offerings. * Maintain a training facility in a high state of readiness * Attain necessary skill set on assigned products to perform (if called upon) in the capacity and at a level commensurate with current Technical Support Resources. * Relationships* * * * * Reports to: Manager, Technical and Sales Training * Key Relationships: Tactical and operational support from Training Coordinator, Technical Instructors, Product Manager(s), Field Service Directors, Field Service Managers and Technical Support SME’s * Subordinate Staff: None *Key Competencies (rank ordered) * * ** * Superior presentation skills. * Continuous improvement focus. * Excellent interpersonal skills; able to function productively while working with and mentoring persons of widely varying backgrounds and educational levels. * Strong computer skills including computer hardware and networking. * Proven ability to learn hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and computer systems. Familiar with basic electronics and chemistry. * Ability to revise existing curriculum in order to improve training quality. * Ability to develop and deliver new training curriculum to coincide with and support the development of new product identification technologies.
