POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of this position is to provide expertise and partnership with commercial leaders on global analytics & systems, design business intelligence tools, train end-users, and support reporting/analytics for decision making. The Global Data Analyst is a strong contributor to support and direct stakeholders to one global source of information for the commercial organization to improve global reporting and PD/KPI reviews. Data quality-oriented and BI passionate, working closely with the commercial organization and the IT department, the Global Data analyst helps simplify complex models to deliver business insights through data at a glance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare standard daily, weekly, monthly commercial reporting, KPIs and performance analysis that support policy deployment indicators review of actuals versus Plan/Forecast for the commercial organization

  • Cultivate Knowledge of global database structure and analytics tools

  • Partner with commercial leaders and cross-functional departments to provide ad-hoc analytics for decision making and business assessment

  • Build standardized analytics and data modelling for performance review at a glance

  • Design and maintain BI tools implementing user requested data requirements, including close collaboration with IT dept. for testing and validation

  • Contribute actively to increasing BI tools adoption and provide support to super-users and standard users for data requests

  • Provide expertise on BI tools, including best practices user interface design and entry level data modelling, may include entry level scripting,

  • Utilizes clear and concise communication to build cohesive bridges between the business functions and IT dept.

  • Able to work closely with project managers and IT department to secure proper data management in systems and consequently reporting

  • Develop standard documentation related to BI tools development and maintenance, reporting processes, and data files to ensure complete back up coverage when necessary

  • Identify data stewards and data owners in various departments to secure proper information flow into the global data warehouse and through business intelligence tools, including an audit process as standard work

  • Use DBS to sustain processes of data management, maintenance, stewardship, action plans and standard work. Assist with problem solving process as necessary for data extraction and pareto understanding

  • Support the commercial Planning process through meaningful analytics and dashboards development

  • High emphasis on being data quality and detail oriented, able to cross-check data accuracy (from back-end to front-end)

  • Utilizes critical thinking to analyse and simplify complex programs

  • Communicates effectively, ability to translate complex concepts through simple words and diagrams

  • Process oriented - able to develop and install sustainable processes

  • Utilizes time effectively, using daily management of activities, and prioritization to meet deadlines (identifies sense of urgency and immediate impact versus daily tasks).

  • High degree of computer skills (Access, Query, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP system, etc.)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of BS or BA in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • A minimum of 3+ years successful experience in an analytical role, 5+ years preferred

  • High proficiency of Excel skills including direct OLAP query of databases

  • Knowledge of UAT experience and management

  • Profound experience in ERP and CRM systems such as Oracle, Infor, Sales Force

  • Solid design and/or data modeling experience in BI tool development and reporting software applications such as Qlik Sense, QlikView, Power BI, Tableau, Noetix, Discoverer, etc.

  • Ability to effectively communicate effectively with non-native English and native English speakers

  • Ability to support project management and deliver results on a global regional scale

  • Proven experience working with key stakeholders at various levels (including Executive Level) within a matrix organization
