Our ideal Regional service manager will:

Be located in Germany or UK and willing to travel across the DACH region as well as UK/IRE and Scandinavia. Fluency in German and English is a must, other languages are an advantage. You will have a proven track record working in a similar leadership role supporting service and sales colleagues to meet customers needs. You will have proven experience working with high profile customers and be able to handle the pressure that goes hand in hand with 24/7 production environment’s.

You will be a ‘People person’ with a pro-active/positive mindset who can quickly develop meaningful relationships and trust with our customers. You will have focus on developing your service team, investing time in the individual associates, delegating resposnibilities to grow competence in your team. You will champion ‘Continuous improvement’ and instill this mindset into the regional service organization. You will facilitate the necessary tools and processes to ensure the regional service teams are able to perform their roles effectively meeting internal KPI’s and customer service level agreements.

In your main role at Esko, you will:

  • Direct the regional service organization and be accountable for ‘Customer experience’

  • Work in close collaboration with the regional service organization, global support and R&D functions to quickly resolve any customer support requests & escalations

  • Work in close collaboration with the Regional business director & the regional sales team visiting our customers to build strong relationships and retention.

  • Define regional KPI’s in collaboration with the Senior service director

  • Be accountable for Service revenue growth (4% growth year on year)

  • Be accountable for operating profit

  • Be accountable for employee engagement/retention

  • Be accountable for performance & development for growth in the region

  • Ensure that appropriate local Health & Safety standards are adhered to

Your Education and/or Background Experience will have:

The following qualifications, criteria and experience are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.

  • Engineering or technical commercial background preferably with responsibility for technical service delivery

  • Sucessful track record of leading a service team or service organization

  • Experience in troubleshooting and responding to customers concerns

  • Experience building customer relationships & able to quickly gain trust

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, self directed, entrepreneurial environment

  • Decision making, problem de-escalation/resolution and creative thinking skills.

  • Ability to multi task activities with shifting priority

  • Able to work productively in a pressurised environment

  • Proficient level of office 365 applications including word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Experience with Salesforce would be an advantage

  • Experience analyzing performance data and comfortable using reporting tool’s such as Power BI/Tableau etc

  • Experience in leading customer communication and technical escalations

  • Strong time management skills
