The Sales Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins in Italy for the Digital Pathology products line. In that sense you will establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts and create new sales opportunities through your consultancy.

This position is part of Italian direct Sales Team and will be fully remote, traveling on daily basis to our current and potential customers on a national level.

You will report to the Digital Pathology National Sales Manager, working in strict contact with the Digital Pathology Workflow Application Consultant.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Execute the regional Digital Pathology business strategy with specific focus on market share capture

  • Partner with Account Managers team to manage at the regional level the Digital Pathology sales opportunities in large and medium size competitive accounts across the full funnel process from lead to implementation

  • Build and deliver Digital Pathology projects that match Customer needs & expectations

  • Liaise with Customer IT departments to effectively design and implement the Digital Pathology solution

  • Research and develop new opportunities to increase Leica Biosystems market share

  • Support the tender response team on the technical application process

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University’s degree in Medical Science or Biomedical/Bioinformatic Engineering

  • A minimum of 5 years Sales experience in the Healthcare environment: experience with budgets, forecasting, providing quotations, responding to tenders and managing priorities to meet revenue targets

  • Experience in interacting with Clinical and/or Anatomical Pathology Labs

  • Knowledge of LIS, HIS, PACS

  • Excellent communication skills in English

Willing to travel within defined territory up to 70% of the time and also attend Sales and related product meetings as required nationwide
