The HR Operations / Payroll Specialist is a new role in our HR Operations Team in EMEAI. This role will be responsible for processing the end-to-end payroll for multiple countries across the EMEAI region, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations in partnership with our managed service payroll providers. The function will also be responsible for administering certain benefits and our leave system. The ideal candidate is a customer centric, detail oriented and a problem solver. The function will require a thorough understanding of payroll regulations within EMEAI region and a strong understanding of own and other processes that are connected to payroll. This role will also help promote HR relationship with accounting and take an active role during cross functional projects and DBS initiatives. This role will report into Sr Manager HR Operations.
This position will be part of the HR Operations team and will be located in the Netherlands, Rotterdam area or NL Remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Gather, transform, and compile data changes for the purpose of conducting the monthly EMEAI payrolls using different systems and sources of information.
Administer employee benefits in collaboration with brokers and payroll providers.
Coordinate of monthly payments and journal entries submissions to Finance including reconciliation of records and conducting payroll postmortems.
Support the HR SLA including tracking and reporting of KPI’s. Create, develop, and maintain processes including documentation.
Maintain records and perform data and records audit, ensure auditable records are kept in line with corporate and statutory requirements, in addition perform regular checks and true ups of records to support employee life cycle changes.
Identify gaps in system design and/or processes, propose solutions, document change requests, and coordinate the implementation of the changes in collaboration with stakeholders using DBS.
Lead and participate in Projects in the Payroll, HR systems and DBS. Custodian of HR Operations/Payroll continuous improvements including: TTI (Targets To Improve), TPI (Transactional Process Improvement) and PSP (Problem Solving Process)
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor or master’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Solid experience in payroll accounting for EMEA region
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills
Affinity with technology and systems, proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws for European countries
Experience with Workday and Time Tracking Systems
